http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/moto...-417643722.htm TS100ER engine for buy now $110 (says he's had offers of $50 and $70 with reserve at $95). Just in case anyone's interested.
Oh, we'll be heading to the GP, so if any "foreigners" are keen, we'd be able to find room in the van for it (just not full bikes, we're outta room for that).

Well, yeah probably, but that bike did inspire this thread to be written
(see the bit about adaptor plates)

Heck that is a well written post. Check out the last poster Gav!

that said the present owner who is a good guy did fix or improve a few of the main issues. Pity he is leaving the sport.

It seemed to go & handle well enough, but I'd go around it & check that every spacer & bracket is as you'd want it to be.

For the right price yeah it will be a fine bike (not trying to smeg the chance of it being sold).

Well he's gone all out with the sales effort there. Here's 3 photos of junk & the parts you get may be in here somewhere. Amongst shock absorbers & Cb125 single engines. Maybe. What a dick. Couldn't just spend the 5 min plonking them on a table & saying here this is what is for sale. Click.

I would think Alloy, its possible its steel, had a quick Google search but didnt come up with much, that and I didnt really look that hard haha.

Would seem like an ideal bucket base for the price.

Steel. Narrow wheels. Bad suspension. I don't want to stop people buying it, but they really aren't a good starting point if you want a good handling chassis.

If you just want a chassis however, go for your life.

What are the widths of the rims?

Tell Jake Lewis and the Hoogie brothers that, they seen to get on ok when kicking everyones asses on them!

Its harder to lose weight than gain horsepower.

Oh yeah for sure I have seen the videos of them and they are flying. But they have proper race shocks and maybe reworked front end?
And those engines go like stink.

However as a starting point for a fast bucket with some other engine they are far from ideal.
You would be far better off putting a bid on that nor and stripping it down.

From what I've seen and heard the narrow rims are less of an issue on the long tracks than they are on the Kart tracks us Northerners usually run on.
