    AX1R (AX100) engine for sale

My old trusty Suzuki AX1R (AX100) engine is for sale. Runs well. Could do with a freshen up (light hone and new piston) but not essential. Done three seasons since last rebuild.

Engine was built by Pete Sales and runs AvGas and Motul 800 at 33:1. Good power though a little peaky for the four speed box.

Complete engine - carb, coil, etc. No chamber.

Comes with spare cases and gearbox.

I'm thinking around $200. Way under what I paid to get it built and sorted.

Note that this is NOT an A100. Very different engines.

Hazzard's stuff is good. And a top bloke as well. I've used one of his RS125 tails on my bucket, and he fixed the hack job I did the first time round

Sometimes you wish it was easier, but if it was, everyone else would do it, then you remember you don't want to be like everybody else!

Interesting that a Metrakit GP50 can contest an F5 title, seeing as it is a purpose built road racing machine?

24-2-4 Engines must be derived from non-competition motorcycles. Motocross, Road Racing, Enduro and Go Kart motors and transmission parts are not permitted

I seem to recall a conversation with Dave where he explained that the MK50 has a Derbi(?)50 from some hot little street 50 in it now. Having known Dave for a very long time i just can't imagine him cheating. He's like me and just can't see the point of it.

It's a bit of a loose area, like the TZ50, but there is a precedent. Both these bikes have the exact same engine as the street legal bike TZR50 or the GPR or Senda Derbi. Both these bikes have won F5 GPs, they are very fast.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
