So how was he intending to get the Capacity to legal with those cranks?
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Small bore and long stroke.
56.5mmx 57.8mm =144.9cc
57.5mmX 57.8mm = 150.09cc
A few used to run them like that in Aussie, I guess it gave a high compression ratio with a clean piston shape for good combustion speed.
I wondered how an Aprilia RS250 engine cradle makes it easier to fit the Honda engine into the Suzook?
The XR200 bottom ends also have a closer ratio box as it has a higher first gear than the XL125S. (not sure how they compare with the GL145 ratios) but the Gl145 has the largest valves +1mm compared to the 125s/185/200 but needs to be converted from points) from memory the GL145 also has a roller bearing end on the crank. (but its been years)
The later cranks can be swapped easily but the early ones have different bearing sizes.
I have seen a guy put a XR200 barrel and crank onto a CB100 as they have a better set of ratios in a 5 speed.
but that involves welding up the oil gallery into the crankcase mouth that gets bored into to fir the spigot. and turning down one or maybe two of the cranks bearing surfaces.

I discovered this bucket on the porch at a party last night. I wonder if anyone knows its back story. Seems very well built & has had a lot of effort put into it.
It hasn't been ridden for several years, but appears to need nothing more than everything servicing to be a runner again.
It has a very nicely put together 125 twin out to 140, with an alloy spacer under the barrel.
What would it be worth?

Looks very well done, braced swing arm, GSXR rim on the back (well Calliper at least). Front wheel looks more FZR with the singe large floating disc.
Would be a good B grade bike, and with the right rider could upset a few in A grade no doubt.
I would expect it to be somewhere just under the $1000 mark.
Engine internals MAY trace back to him, but all his bikes (well the ones I know) had the two into one under slung muffler set up.

CT90 slugs take them to about 144cc if I recall from the maths we did years ago. Dunno why the spacer would be needed.
Maybe Rich has been in there. XR185 pistons?
