Oh jesus Save us. Yes they do have an electric start, but only on the brochure, not the real world. Getting rid of the chassis would be a great start as they are fukin dreadful even on the road.
Don't you look at my accountant.

they should be robust as i think they were more a shrunk xs400 than a over bored 125.
Yes it worries me just how bulky it might be, I guess Ill find out when it turns up. Supercharger weighs 3.5 kg alone.
Out of intetest as a comparison on what old shit weighs my F9 tank is 4kg, just the tank.
The Points and all will be gone, LINK will take care of ignition / injection. Besides, thats where the cam drive will be. Cam chain will be gone, no need to machine a silly little sprocket into the centre of the new crankshaft.

Its just the engine thankfully. I'll find a more suitable, off road frame. Restrictions on the frame are only
    36mm forks
    Twin rear shocks.
    Drum brakes.
    Thats it.

Some of the gearbox gear are the same as RD250 and 400 suggesting it can be swapped out
looks like the cams can be swapeed between the 360 and 400 as well

That doesn't sound so good. Maybe its bigger and piggier than I thought.

It's a smallerised version of the 360 twin. The really amusing thing about them is that they were pretty much limited from birth. Both the 250 and 360 used a fuel tap which would run the carb dry after about 1 1/2 miles at full throttle. Or up the Tunnel road in ChCh. I made one go quicker for longer for a Catholic priest by boring the tap out.
I suspect you may be disappointed at it's size and mass.

You exorcised the demon of constriction.

How is Mr Orr these days? Still racing at all?

i can remember helping to sell a new red 95ish CB250 nighthawk to a catholic priest , that was the engine i thought was the better option as it was an overbored 125 for Flet.

Well you can strip out the electric starter gubbins but it will still be a boat anchor. Natural terrain grass tracks might be nicer on the body.

Hi team. Does anyone happen to have a TZR250, FXR250/400/600/750 front guard lying around? Just to save me having to fab one to my bike.

    Cheers
    Drew
