Oxford Muffs - whats the verdict?

My hands are to small for heated hand grips (cant get my hands around them and reach the brake - discovered that the hard way) and so wondered about the oxford muffs.

Before you start going on about other options, i am already wearing winter gloves with silk liners but my hands are blue by the time I get to work.

So I came across this product, ok they look naff but then i would sooner look naff than have ice blocks at the end of the day.

But what is the verdict on them? I have heard that they can interfer with the levers. Would love to know what you think.

Never tried Oxford muffs, but a chap I knew had a pair of similar 'muffs' on his SL125 back in the dim dark ages. They looked pretty silly but he liked them.

Has any one made the muff joke yet?

Not sure what kinda heated hand grips you have looked at, but the ones I fitted to my Busa are very thin circuit boards with sticky backs than are less than 1mm thick and wrap around the bars and then you just slip the hand grips back on over them and you don't even realise they are on there.

Sweetp - have you considered "Hand Guards"
Not sure what bike you are riding, but if you could reduce the blast of air over your hands they may have a better chance of keeping "warm".

Get heated grips installed, and get your brake and clutch levers bent in a bit closer.

This post just reminded me I was given a set of these by an X London Motorbike courier. They look fecking uuuuuggggggggggllllllyyyyy.
They have been thrown into the darkest, dingiest corner of my office.
However having said that I am of to the brass monkey so will see if they fit over the handguards of the DR, and then see if I can stand looking at them long enough to use them on the ride up there. Actually if they work I wont care if they ugly - cold hands are PAINFUL especially when they are defrosting.
If they fit I will try get a pic. They are heavy duty nylon outer with polarfleece type interior. Black with - yes thats GOLD piping trim - fashion statement there if ever I saw one.

Hi folks, i ended up getting the ultra thin inside the bars heated things. Turns out the the store stocks them, just doesn't display them (duh). But hopefully my hands will be fashionable and toasty...

Are these for the SV or RF? Had heated grips on my 07 GS500, and they were very toasty indeed.
