Pretty cool. Makes you realise how small and insignificant we really are.

    eh, that was alright...

the thing you have to understand about the ultra deep field image is that sure those galaxys are 13 billion lightyears away...but that just means that they're 13 billion years old...

that's right what happened to whatever intelligent life is on those planets happened 13 billion years ago...so you can try to look for life in those distant places but even if you find it it'll be 13 billion years old, it might've died out, or evolved, and by the time you get there it'll be another 13 billion years old too, making it 26 billion years since you saw it, assuming you travel there at the speed of light, to which you cannot.

another thing to take into account is that the universe is spmething like 13.7 billion years old, which means those universe are only 700 million years old, and in galactic terms that makes them children of the big bang theory, and when you look at those galaxys they dont look right, they dont look formed properly...they dont look like 13 billion year old galaxys (as seen in that pin wheel galaxy earlier in the clip)

i was reading about sagitterius B2 earlier today, it's this big fuck off cloud of crap at the center of the milky way...it's 300 million times the size of our sun...fuckin' 'ell

    Sombreo galaxy

This has to be one of my favourite galaxies if I can call it that.

The galaxy is 50,000 light-years across and is located 28 million light-years from Earth.

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Go to the Apollo 11 vid. Oddly enough I agree with Armstrong but I'm not going into that at moment. Perhaps another time.

    There's only two possibilities...

There's either other life out there or there isn't and we're it.

    Either way is mind blowing.

    TO WHICH YOU CANNOT >_<

yeah yeah i know, 100 years ago we didn't know about microwaves, cell phones or televisions.

i prefer nebulae, especially the helix and carina nebula

    Helix:

    http://imgsrc.hubblesite.org/hu/db/2...s/full_jpg.jpg <---- very big image, 3.2mb

Carina:http://hubblesite.org/gallery/album/...on/pr2007016a/ (download the 479.08mb 29566 x 14321 pixel tiff image like i did a few months ago and revel in the detail you can see)

fuck it, just go to http://hubblesite.org/gallery/album/ and view everything, it really is beautiful.
