Know of any commercial pilots that have had the procedure, Swoop?
May have to look in to it! Cheers

Slightly OT but I think CAA not to keen on the laser. Was thinking about it but AvMed Dr said forget about it, to much hassle proving to CAA that you can still see.

How do you find those progressive lens's? I might have to get some for the next Class 1

    Cheers

Hey Mark, the progressives are pretty good, they take a bit of getting used to, but after that they're fine. I wear a Gallet flying helmet, and I do find sometimes the visor touches the spec frames.
I find I don't get quite so tired with long days in the cockpit, the old peepers must have been straining a bit before I got the progressives

The only one who pops into my head at the moment, is the person who filmed the Auck-eye promo video. He has a CPL.

I'll ask some of the drivers that I know. I seem to have a pilot through here every few weeks or so.

I had laser surgery in 2005. Took me 10 years to make up my mind and be convined of the most acceptable procedure. I had the one sportsmen and the military have (LASEK and not LASIK). Totally liberating. Have had perfect eyesight ever since.

For some strange reason, Mr Shoei doesn't make the Multitec any bigger than an XL. Silly man.

    Flip Fronts

While discussing this I wondered...are they better than traditional full face? Why would you have one over a full face? Do you ever get grief for looking like a police man or a playmobile person?????

Not trying to stir but genuine questions as I am looking at a new helmet soon and so far its a RaidII that is topping the list.....
Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead
Do not walk ahead as I may not follow.
Do not walk beside me as the path is narrow
In fact FU*K off and leave me alone

    My X-Spirit isn't a quiet helmet either.
Might have to check one out. Thanks
Quiet is relative, try ear plugs as an option. No need to buy a new helmet because the one you have is "noisy". As for flip face ones, the multitec is nice but try the nolan flip face one, which is veeery comfortable for me or the rjays tour tech which I also found to be quite comfy. The rjays is $300 and might be a good option for the odd day you want to wear glasses instead fo contacts, but again go and try one on.

I'm very happy with mine, happy enough that when I munted the 1st one in an off I replaced it with another Multitec. Very comfy, can wear it all day, the vents are good, the weight is good, the anti fog thingy that comes with it works a treat. I wear glasses and it works well with them, although I actually bought it before I started wearing them. It is noisier than the Shoei full face I had previously, but no big deal as I wear earplugs anyway.
