Spanish bank robber swaps bike for hostages; gets run down by police

When a Spanish bank robber traded his hostages for a motorbike, he thought it would give him an easy escape route. However, when the robber – who had held his hostages for 12 hours with a grenade – tried to escape, an unmarked police car ran him down, flipping him over twice before officers closed in to arrest him.

The incident was shown live on Spanish television.
