VW/KTM team up to create new motorcycle?

While rumours abound regarding German car giant Volkswagen looking to purchase Ducati, it also appears that a partnership with KTM may be in the offing to create a new motorcycle.

Details of the proposed new bike are sketchy, but given the KTM connection it would suggest a large trailbike/dual purpose machine; potentially aimed at BMW’s marketplace.

VW and KTM have joined forces before, with VW lending expertise to KTM’s X-Bow road car project.
