Lennix Lewis summed up Tua before he fought him thus:

It takes more than a big punch and a bad hairdo to make champion of the world!

Tua was totally outclassed in every round and he never changed his tactics in any round either, a testimony to his intelligence.(IMHO)

A walk in the park for Lewis.

Cameron is a much more intelligent fighter but takes far too much punishment in his fight tactics!

Despite being a tough cookie, even if Cameron doesn't get cut up an equally good puncher should knock him out.

Cameron was completely out thought and out fought by black Friday recently.

I believe Tua would beat Cameron because he is just as tough as Cameron and can go the distance, Tua would probably get lucky and knock him out.

It would be worthy contest of brains courage and bash but not a spectacle worthy of the true science of boxing.

It appears Tua does not believe in himself anyway and will not even take the risk!

    Just my humble opinion. John.

The game of boxing itself is a bit dead these days compared to the 60's and 70's. I love watching Ali's era fights. Entertaining, nothing better than that aye.

Shane "Bleeder" Cameron is a tuff cookie but he is no world shaker that's for sure

Oh for sure, I have most of the great fights on file, watch them from time to time, bloody brilliant. Real boxing I say
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

Yes Shane Cameron is a very nice guy and I have spoken to him at a few amature kickboxing fights I have attended, But unfortunatly he is a big bleeder and because of that he will never be a true serious contender for the heavyweight title. He a damn good boxer and it's unforunate.

And in my eyes Mike Tyson was a animal boxer not as much skill as mohamad ali had but I't would be a hard one to tell who would have won while in their primes.

Iron mike was definatly just that " Iron " was only knocked down once and that was after he got out from jail against Holyfield. If Mike had a normal person's mentality Id say He would perhaps have gone further than " Ali ".

yes His hay day is over but he would still be one I would like to see fight,

The only real fighter N.Z really has atm would be Shane Chapman the kickboxer, sure there are other's but they seem to be tied down with injury's and problem's , Who has Tua fought thats worth the mention lately? Yeh He has a Fight coming up , And to be honest I rekon only because every one doubts he has any gas left in the tank. And I agree with them he is long over. ( hopefully he can prove his critics wrong but at the moment I side with them )

Another thing, If Mike tyson hadn't recieved a Ban on boxing in the States i wouldnt be surprised if he was still in there in the top 5, if not champion.

It is his own fault he is a has been but man he wa good, all big name fights at the ages of 18 - 20 all knock out's can't sneeze at that record.

Unfortuantly history won't be nice to Tyson.

Someone should start a thread. Mike Tyson vs The other guy.
Make it into a poll and we'll bet who will win!

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

The problem was that Mike was a problem child taken under the wings of his first manager who died and he got in with that hairy guy which was bad company.

Harry Carpenter interviewed him years ago and he was a well spoken amiable guy...

The rape conviction. Well there are questions...why did she go upstairs with him in the first place...not saying right he ignored her saying "No" if that was the case but..well you know what I am saying.

He was undoubtably a ferocious boxer who fell from grace...shame

Innocent OR guilty it matters not, the guy has served his time

Yes he was a problem child - but his manager (Cus D'Amato) trained him like the animal he was - he was more of the problem than King ever was.

Yes - he was a ferocious boxer - but he never fell from Grace - he was born scum, lived a scum life and will probally die scum.

The fact he could really knock heads off made no difference.

Ever tried getting into the US of A with prior convictions even if you have served your time?

    It just doesn't happen.

No reason we should be any different. In fact IF we did that one could argue that the country would be better for it (not talking Tyson - but all convicted rapist, drug dealers etc)
