Bike down in Terrace Tunnel (17 May 2008)

Just rode past a bad accident in the Wellington terrace tunnel.

Looked like a (xxxxx), couldn't tell the make, perhaps a (xxxxxx).

Bike was pretty smashed up, ambo had left by the time I got there.

Hope the rider is ok.

I went past just as the first cops were turning up. One of the cars was in fact a trailer.

Thoughts go out the the rider and their family.

stink.
we went to the hutt this afternoon jsut after the tunnel was up to one lane each way again. didn't realise it was a bike.

Was wondering why all the traffic was blocking up my street as the alt route!! Sad to hear it was a bike! Hope you're alright mate.

Not sure when this happened but it's on Stuff at the moment:

Wellington Police and ambulance are at the scene of a crash between two cars and a motorbike in the Terrace Tunnel.

The tunnel is currently blocked both ways and police advise taking an alternative route.

Hi to all Thank you to those who sent your wishes! Our Father is doing ok he is going in for surgery again tomorrow- thank god he had good protective gear on and an unknown MP on site helped. This all saved his life!
