    every event is different im guessing. there are lots of rules that we are forced to run that dont apply to the likes of Nelson or Burt Munro.

    Due to the incredible amount of entries in post classic we are trying to get a dispensation to run 40+ as With 35 in F3, Bears, and Formula greymouth already there is simply nowhere to put the excess.
    We have never had this many entries and unless we can run the extra im not sure how we can trim the field down to 35 without pissing some people off.
    especially when all the entrys were in on time. Lets just say i didnt get much sleep last night!!

    we have tried very hard to give as many competitors 2 classes to race in. If you entered post classic, bears and F3 then chances are depending on your bike you will have been pulled from a class.

    We are just going to have to employ a first in first served policy next year or maybe charge for extra classes to limit entries.

Next year we might have to just say first in first served and if you miss out too bad. but as i said, i dont want to turn people away.

    time will tell!! - its going to be a nightmare.
    But you have to qualify , right ? that should take care of too many entries ?
    I know its tough, but thats life. Gaz.

    No qualifying here in greymouth man, the spirit of the event is to give everyone a good days racing, no prize money, no championship, no gold watches, just a trophy for your efforts. Its a low key non championship event at the end of the day.

    And a fantastic event it is to, having raced Wanganui I'd say Greymouth beats it hands down for value for money and as a event to race at

    Hey D. i spoke with the club president and he cant see any problems with you guys pitting there. will confirm next monday at the meeting.

    Its normally an area used for trailer storage so as long as you guys stash ya trailers someplace else then your welcome to it.

    thats cool Mr D. no worries. just for your information here are the provisional numbers for the classes

    Bears = 35 (full)
    F3 = 35 (full)
    Buckets = 24 - (spots available)
    Classics = 14 - (spots available)
    Motard open = 33
    Post classic = 41 (over full)
    F1 = 24
    FG = 35 (full)

    All classes will hopefully have 3 rounds but motard will run 4 guaranteed or 5 if time permits.

    Lower motard numbers has forced us to combine both S1 and S2 and split the classics/buckets in to their own class.

    remember - this is not set in stone yet!!

    cheers, steve

    yes, hats off to the classics and buckets, too many of you to race in the one class. we can still take late entries in both classes. it was a hard decission to funnel all the motards into the one class but it did free up some room to split classics and buckets and it was a simple numbers thing. If there were 8 less buckets and 8 more S1 motards then it would have gone the other way. There may be more late motard entries but we had to make a decission on the numbers we had at time of entry closure.

    A bit of thought will have to go into next years classes, we started sorting entries saturday lunch time and ive spent all weekend trying to shuffle bikes around to try and keep everyone happy.

    ive just spent the last few hours making up a race order that will best suit so that guys racing 2 or more bikes dont have to race 3 races in a row. impossible but has to be looked at.

    yip thats a tricky one, most bucket guys also race pre82 PC, even one other race inbetween makes a huge differance.
