    Sachs Madass 50: any comments?

Hi, I am thinking of getting Sachs Madass 50

Does anyone know where they are manufactured? and how reliable are they?

    Cheers!

    kia ora venice,

i e-mailed the Sachs factory and a spokesperson confirmed that the Madass50 are indeed made in China. with German technical supervisors to oversee quality, she assured me.

not a bad little moped. i've had mine for exactly 2 months. so far so good. but perhaps we shouldn't expect too much from a four-stroke 50cc motor, eh. it rattles abit at 50kph but generally behaves quite well on the road.

    did you buy one eventually?

Sorry for reviving a dead thread

I am thinking of getting either a 250 or a scooter to commute around in Wellington CBD

If I get a 250 I want to get the Kawasaki Ninja 250. From what I heard it's a good beginner bike. The only downside is the relative high cost.

I would definitely consider getting the Madass 50 if I get a scooter. The only upside I can think of is I have enough savings to buy a scooter right now but not a 250 bike

Two totally different machines, I'd go for the bike every time. The Madass is a piece of shit qualitywise. What a new scooter will cost would be better spent on a reasonable 2nd hand 250 bike or a new GN125.
