    Yamaha rx 125 front caliper

I am building a bucket out of an rx 125. Anyway, I stripped and cleaned the front caliper, but when I tested it, the fixed position disc pad rubbed pretty hard on the rotor. There is a cast bracket which bolts on to the fork leg and then attaches to the front caliper thru a rubber boot. Does anyone know if this bracket attaches to the caliper with pins,so that the caliper can slide when the brakes are applied? If so, mine are seized-cures? If not, how does the caliper slide when the rakes are applied?
