I'd double check your sizing...

I hardly see it fitting 1,65m to 1,77m.....

Maybe 1,65m to 1, 7m....

Why do I say this?

I have two Euro 50 suits, I'm just over 1,7m and they fit snug for length... NO WAY a 48 will work over 1,7m.

thanks for the advice, I took the 177cm measurement off the alpinestars sizing chart here:

Im 175cm myself and have used a size 48 suit, but yeah it was hard to stand up straight in, fine on the bike though. I think the length from crouch to shoulders is prob more important thats where the tension tends to be (crouch more than shoulders....), always best to try on to be sure anyway

are your suits alpinestars? Difference manufactures have different fits, thats why they all have there own sizing charts, and the charts are still only a guide at best

Nope, a Spidi and a Dainese suit. The Dainese is even more restrictive when standing upright.

The point was more the size range than a specific size.

And as you say, you find it uncomfortable to stand upright, so it's fair to say it's not a correct fit. I doubt anyone wants to walk around like Quasimoto (sorry Quasi), because the suit is too small.

Ultimately, as you say, it should be tried first....

Not tryning to start an arguement over how a suit should fit, but most suits are fitted for the riding position not the standing position, so some people could argue that if its comfortable standing upright then your prob using a size too big. Each to there own though, at the end of the day you have to be comfortable, but too much loose leather and you could find your suit gripping the road on impact instead of sliding, I personally recon the tighter the better, and the same goes for suits...

Yes, you are but I 'm not bothered either way.

At the end of the day, I wouldn't wear a suit that squeezes my nuts when standing upright or walking around. Partly because in a crash, you could be ragdolling. I'd hate for my suit to be squashing my nuts then too...

By all means, wear your suit whichever way makes you happy...

A lot of the time, suits are a compromise anyway. The only way you can get around it is to make a custom suit...

Going to offer suit on trademe for top bid of $1000, so if anyone on here wants a mint suit that will crush your nuts and may only fit dwarfs then PM me any offers, will sell cheaper on here since avoid trademe fee's....
