Have only ever got rid of one helmet - on the second one and expect it to last a while. I have been told you should replace them every few years but I don't see why they shouldn't last for ages.
    Game on.

    1. Paint it black to cover the dents. (Fill really bad cracks with RTV first).
    2. Use glue to make the lining stay in.
    3. Put it on TradeMe described as "Immaculate, almost never used"
    4. Spend money at pub.

if it's old and unsafe i give them to harley and honda riders or perhaps even scooter riders

i also sell well oiled brake pads to the same people on trademe

someone told me i should grow plants in them but i think cannabis needs a bigger pot (expert advice anyone?)

Donate helmet to the team (after they pay for a new one)
i can so picture that happening.

The alternative: invite friends with toddlers around who think it's all cute that their little poo-machine picks up helmet and drops on concrete.

You could always consider donating it to St Johns for training purposes. Last thing you need in a spill is some untrained doofus straining to get your lid off.

Smashed the last one with a sledge hammer. Was really fun and took a few swings as well before I crushed it with my enormous strength!

Yeah I didn't think before I typed! I could have said "helmet" but I am sure someone would have found that just as amusing.
