    Lightbulb Mongoose Alarm wiring expert

    Hi Guys,

Not sure if anyone can help here, or recommend where best to take the bike..

Basically just bought a SV1000S with a Mongoose alarm with remote starter. Very cool facility to start the bike to warm up before jumping on. Only issue is that the person who wired this seems to have wired it ahead of all the safety cut offs.. i.e. with stand down and bike in gear, guess what.. yes you can push the remote start and watch the bike fly forward on its own and crash..

Luckily it didnt happen for me this way and I was sat on the bike when I tested it, and managed to jump on the clutch to stop me hitting the garage wall!

I guess this is just a case of the starter wire being attached in the wrong place.. but dont really want to sart messing with the electrics just in case.!

Any help would be much appreciated.!

Yeah, can work that out for you. Bump this thread and I'll drag out the manual and sort a diagram out.

    You just did bump it

Bump it again later on, cause it'll remind me to look into it for you.

In the mean time, get the service manual downloaded, and google for Bozo's wiring diagram, it's better than the factory one.

I think the starter wiring diagram breakdown is on page 7-12 of the service manual iirc, but I'll look it all up and see if I can't figure out a solution for you.
