But the point that you so readily try to ignore is that Mr Dixon is a NZ citizen, not Australian.
    Nats only has Kiwi Citizenship.

Surely he is an American Citizen as well...not made in NZ though.

Sorry just being a pain in arse today cause I am in an extra happy mood so trolling big time...sorry Jim

Dixon's birthplace not even mentioned in Aussie sports media I read.

    'Kiwi Scott Dixon'.

I agree, but don't you mean she'll cool down and be hot again...?

Aussies don't generally care, they just like winners, where ever they come from. John.

The prizemoney is approx 50%team,10-15%manager and driver rest.

The people who bankrolled him for $5000 share have recieved more than $25000 share before yesterday. He should earn approx $2-3million plus another $1million in endorsements.

His wife went to a clairvoyent prior to last year and asked will Scott win Indy, yes was the reply, but not this year(07),Scott said thank god she never told him the true results last year when he ran out of gas,or this year prior.

He sure has come a long way since that pimply faces tubby 13 yr old who rolled, bowled and smashed Max Penningtons' Nissan Pulsar all those years ago, wonder if Max put up money lol.Think the repair bill was $25000 at the time, can still remember the kid sobbing and his folks looking at him thinking holy shit mortgage the home again.

The group of motorsport NZ are using his money from the dividend to bankroll Brendon Hartley and others overseas,so hopefully more to come.

On a local note good to see to NP guys working in Indy cars,Blair and Anton Julian,Blair working for Scott as well, amongst a few kiwis on the team.

Interesting that there are just about as many kiwis in F1 garages than just about any other country

I guess we are just better at most things

    Well done that man

That deserves the NZ sportsperson of the year award
And he did it all with polished eloquence because unlike many of our thugby players he can string more than two words together. He also didnt trash any bars or accept millions off this outgoing Government, raped off overburdened taxpayers. Scott is an excellent advertisement for NZ and helps to offset our bad pr.

We have many great kiwis in all sorts of motorsport, and most in high positions,i.e the Stone bros in supercars, the top guy in Dick Johnson used to be a kiwi. The no.8 wire technology to fix it outside the square has been used many a time.

He is a shoe in for sportsman of the year,I don't think a gold medal will beat this, shame though we don't win mant gold medals, and come Halberg time we could have Scott vs Valerie(assuming she wins gold),any other year either would win.
