I'm not sure I agree. Speaking for my self here, having no experience in high speed racing, crowded tracks, it would probably be a safety issues to have inexperienced riders mixed with the F2/F1 guys. Look at my bad start for example, what would have happened if I stalled the bike in the middle of a F1 start grid? This time I was lucky, the guys behind me managed to get around me. Just because someone manage to do a decent lap or two, that doesn't make up for inexperience.

Shit happens in all classes and people have to be aware of it. For example my bike slipped out of second gear and smacked the rev limiter off the start line of the first Superbike race. Not good when you've got 100+hp bikes hitting their stride in second gear behind you. I didn't get hit 'cos the ones behind me had their eyes open.

Too true. There were several false starts in Superlites/Pro Twins - I guess the new lights didn't help, but humans will make mistakes.

I mean, did you see that muppet fly off turn 4 on his first practice/qualifying lap ?

Essentially there is a test day on the Friday before every race day (except one). Look at the Manfield Raceway website for its calendar. http://www.manfeild.co.nz/events.asp?filter=2
