One vote for a nice hearty left over dinner.

I just cannot stand normal breakfast stuff. I find them plain disgusting and I'm hungry in 30 minutes. I say leave some dinner the night before for breakfast to get you really started for the day. Failing that a nice meat pie or two.
I have deep pockets. It's just that it's a deep empty pocket...........

    Hey DB,

Is this better than a low GI type high carb breakfast?? I always thought it was better to eat, say, porridge in the morning to get lasting energy. I understood that was the issue with cereals - loaded with sugar so it wears off mid morning.

    Cheers,
    Mully.

Yea I was doing the same when I was in the spinal unit but using alot more and drinking heaps of coffee. The hangover coming off the stuff sucked and I'm not doing that again, in fact I cannot remember the last time I had a V. I find berrocca gives me a boost when I take them.

We like our Vogels toast in the morning. A decent bread is good for you, not like the finely processed cheap breads that are full of air and refined flour.

Vogels lasts long enough that two slices with Marmalade and Cashew Butter, , last me until lunchtime! We usually have the Sunflower and Sesame...

That is indeed true... Problem with the stuff that has the good carbs, like oatmeals, is that it, generally, is the most fucking boring stuff to chew down as well.

If you're out tramping, very few things beat a serving of oatmeal porridge with raisins.

1 burbon, 1 scotch and 1 beer is what I call a breakfast. (in that order)
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

I couldnt offer you any facts on that, Mully. In the end, it's just my opinion.

It doesn't have to be. Try throwing a cup of dried maize, and a handful of rice into the grain mill and process until its very fine. Add milk, spices, raisins, custard powder, and cook it up like normal porridge, except for the spectacular taste and aroma. Serve, and add grapes, thinly sliced bananas, fresh yogurt, artificial sweetener, and milk, for the best damn porridge you have ever had.

I'm not a morning person - getting out of bed and hauling my sorry arse off to the shower is enough work before noon!

Even then, as if I'd put that much effort into cooking anything...

For me breakfast consist of 5 coffees.

Any less and someones going to die, and more and I go a bit off the rails until lunch.

Decaf cannot (for the love of God), be used as a substitute.

hahahaha .. awesome stuff guys .. yourv all given me some awesome ideas! some I will take on board, some .. sorry to say but I shall leave to those who actually drink alcohol! I never used to drink V at all .. but I want to nip it in the bud to before it becomes habitual .. ok to late .. so a need to remedy the situation. I prefer the sound of the protein brekkies definitely .. I guess immediately my thoughts are .. ohhh I have to get up earlier to bloody cook it! (cook me own eggs? ummm) I get out of bed at 4.30am as it is! but its all good, Ill work it out .. maybe protein shake???? whatcha think DB .. I am finding it hard to actually eat food fullstop that early in the morning .. hence succombing to the allure of V lol .. damn lil green things. Thanks guys! Ohh .. one more thing ... you caffeine freaks WOW .. you'd be climbing the walls all day long huh???????
