As a regular 5am-waker, I find the best method is to go to bed at a reasonable hour.

Radical idea I know, but 8 hours sleep a day does do wonders.

    Allow to infuse.

Tastes like shit but wow the caffine hit lasts for hours.
Fill with coke? You must earn shitloads.

You git yourself down to Morriesons for their breaky, damn Shazz not there lol.

When we used to do a fair bit of hunting/tramping we used to drink shitloads of raro with glucose, probably similar to V for the day(as an 18yr old)25 yr ago or so.Seemed to work with energy levels not waning, mind you would have spaghetti/baked beans eggs, sausages, toast for breaky.

After my surgery my surgeon said I needed to take more salt in my diet, than normal as I lost sodium quicker than before,he also said not to get dehydrated in hot weather,I said drink water,he said yep and sportsdrinks like lucozade, mizone, but not energy drinks with caffiene.

Can understand the problem with giving up the drinks, similar to stop drinking coffee, bloody hard.Funny thing is I never drank coffee till 19 or so,at home we drank tea (not bags),morning and night rarely coffee, even my first job we had a pot of tea for smoko, now I have coffee most times I have hot drinks, still have tea now and then.

We're a bit later at 5.45 but yes, a good kip works wonders. Vege's for din-dins, drinking water, walking to work. All dumb shit for sure.

Dont knock the V though. I have experienced the need for a pick up (getting up at 5am, driving 2.5 hours, pick up sick Mom, driving 1.5 hours and endless wait at hospital, 1.5 hours back to settle sick Mom to bed) knackered and facing a 2.5 hour drive back home, gassing up and buying a 330 ml bottle of V.

That is when it comes into it's own, quick pick me up.I wonder at times if it is almost a placebo effect, think it works so brain says I feel awake lol.And hospitals tend to make you drousy due to wait and warmth.

Cool, another one converted off that evil substance, to the obviously more socially-desirable drink.

Yep. Try a big drink of water - it will do the same. Most people are dehydrated most of the time, and any drink of any sort results in an instant spark-up.

I notice many young folks will only drink highly-sugared carbonated drinks, and flatly turn their nose up at water, and I watch them barely able to stay away due to their dehydrated state. Oh well.

Simple. Get pies. Put them in the oven before you get in the shower. After shower get the pies out of the oven. Get dressed while the pie cools down a little. Shove your face with the pies as you run out the door.

Problem solved. You're not spending any time cooking this way.

I have a formulated meal replacement shake for breakfast, which totally fills me up till lunchtime!!! & 2 Guarana tablets, which gives me heaps of energy!

If you're in a hurry to get out the door, you can just mix the shake in your shaker, take it with you & drink on the way to work!! SOOOOOOO easy!!

I am an agent for the products.. so give me a bell if you want to know more!

It doesn't have to be. Try throwing a cup of dried maize, and a handful of rice into the grain mill and process until its very fine. Add milk, spices, raisins, custard powder, and cook it up like normal porridge, except for the spectacular taste and aroma. Serve, and add grapes, thinly sliced bananas, fresh yogurt, artificial sweetener, and milk, for the best damn porridge you have ever had.

Good grief, how much time do you have to make your breakfast man!

I wish i was 18 again, life was awesome back then.
Have read apples have more "wake me up before you go-go" than coffee.
p.s. quite happy not to be 18 again - was finishing my degree that year and wondering what I would be doing out in the big wide world.

Dirty biarch slaps Fire eyes bottom....crack!

LMAO FE!!! I started the day today with 2 of the farken things and a Mrs Macs pie...admittedly this wasn't at 5am but it was the first thing I put in my body...not good.

Apparently the caramel extract in V is carcenogenic and it is banned in heaps of countries. I can say that it is also highly fricken addictive! I fell off the wagon recently...

Lucky you! I remember the last time I started my day like that. What a night It is a long weekend this coming, maybe I will put a couple in the fridge to share with maha man for old times sake

There was a time not so long ago that I could not get past 10am without my "V". Once I twigged to my NEED for it, I stopped (wish it were that easy for the smokes though).
