    YAY for 2004!!

OK, I haven't had the time for a write up for Taupo, since I came back but I did want to say something instead.

First of all, there is no way I would have done any racing on the 28th if it wasn't for Firefight who gave me a lot of encouragement all the way through and who was kind enough to gift me the key ingredient for riding on the track for X-mas. So a BIG thank you goes out to him. Also, thank you LooseBruce!! Thank you for finding out and letting me know about the information which made the racing plan move forwards when it was at a halt. And of course, a HUGE thank you goes out to Quasievil and Mrs evil for their excelent hospitality and for their incredible kindness for letting me stay the night at their beautiful home once again. Also for the dinner, break fast and lunch. Gwa'd I am spoilt aren't I? Lol

Also, I wouldn't have gone as well on the day if it weren’t for the following people:

    - nicko, Mike Smith, Squid for letting me borrow some racing necessities.
    - Shade and his dad for giving me their perspective of my riding, from which I managed to make an improvement.
    - Pretty much all the Kiwibikers there for all the encouragement and help at the pits during the day!
    - Budget tires at East Tamaki.

After coming home with a big grin on my face from Taupo, I am glad to end the year of 2004 on a high note. Since I started racing in April this year, I have come a fair bit. I have now completed 3 races in Taupo, 2 in Manfield and 1 at Pukekohe. I have accomplished my personal goal that I had set right in the beginning. Which was to achive a race pace in F2 at a club level. Before, I used to be blown away by how quick these guys rode, now I know what their pace is like. For my New Years resolution, I have now set new goals. I now want to start dicing with the faster guys up front and I want to work my way towards Podium finishes. Getting there will be harder than ever but it'll be just as much fun, I am sure. For 2005, I will dedicate myself into racing further and I plan race for points and positions in as many races as possible. There are so many areas where I haven't even looked at, which should improve my riding a lot, so I have a LOT to look forward to for my future. I am not sure for 2006 but for 2005, I will still be using my GSXR600K2, at a club level, it is still a highly competetive bike and it hasn’t given me any troubles so far. I will just have it freshened before my next race to get it ready for a whole season coming up.

And again, to have come as far as I have, it took a lot of help from some of the greatest people who have truly gone out of their way to help me out. These people are listed below in no particular order:

    - My bro, Sulav or slob for getting me into bikes to begin with and financially supporting me all the way.
    - My best mate, Dave (aka Firefight) for... Jesus, where do I start with this one? Lol Ok, let's just say for being a greatest mate ever and exceeding my expectations every single time in every single way. I truely do owe it all to you.
    - Nick Odermatt or nicko for all the help and advises along the way. You've made it a lot more easier for a new comer like me.
    - Jimmy or Whitetrash for helping me get my bike and for all the advises as well.
    - Johann Bruns for his advises and help during a race meet at Taupo and another one at Manfield. He's a top bloke!
    - My Dad for his financial support at times when I really needed it.
    - Tony or Frosty/XJ for getting me started on racing and for your help and advises all along the way.
    - Bruce or LooseBruce, for getting me sorted for quite a few things and for getting me a part time job to help me out for my racing expenses.
    - Dan at Colemans Suzuki for being a real cool dude and helping me out heaps.

And ofcourse a BIG thank you goes out to all the Kiwibiker members for keeping the site alive with all your contributions and also thank you for your interest in my racing. Have a great New years eve and I’ll see you lot next year. Catch ya!

Thanks for that Sudeep. We are always happy to have you mate, its our way of a little bit of sponsorship Quasi style lol.

Yup no doubt your riding is improving every time you go out on the track, I would doubt there would be many riders around capable of improving 3-4 seconds in two meetings, so it does show alot of talent in you.
I reckon you need to sought out the fuel thing, youre probably the only one carrying 10kgs to much fuel than required in the first race, and when youre now chasing fractional improvements these little things will help, Also it Will definately help if I lower your breakfasts down a few kilos and only give you two eggs instead of a dozen?

Good on you mate ,I sure alot of us will be eager to watch your career grow over 2005, and we look forward to a couple of poduim finishes at the GP in 2006 !!!!!!!!!!!
Ive run out of fucks to give

I agree with Quasi here. You ought to gauge your fuel load, esp for familiar tracks e.g. Puke, Taupo. You could use track days for that.

    Good on ya MR.
I hope to be back on the track myself shortly.

One sad thing that didn't come about in 04 was seeing "Wkid one" get into raceing.
After all his talk about his riding prowess (3500 posts), and then to depart the biker seen to
"do other stuff" , was quite a let down.
I would have liked to see how he got on on race day! Formula 1 wasn't it to be?!

I think stroud and bernard paid him to stay away. They didn't want to be shown up by some new guy that arrives on the scene at the start of the season

    Good stuff Sudeep!

Was good to watch your racing and its great to see your commitment to your racing, I think its the biggest difference between you, and me/hoon/frosty out there on the 28th, not only do you have what it takes, but you have the motovation and commitment to go with it, and when that might start to lack a little in the down times you have mates like Dave to slap you back into position!

But all in all mate you owe yourself the biggest thanks, you are whats holding this together.

    Big ups!
