Some background on the bike, it has been owned by my older brother for the past 6 years. It has been maintaned by Warren Bridges with regular services at the correct intervals.
After Market micron pipe, not too loud, sound real deep and throaty.
Has warrant o' fitness till November this year, Rego expires in July.
The bike is running a Metzler Sportec M1 on the front wheel and a Bridgestone Battleaxe on the rear, both tires have shitloads of tread left on em.
Chain and Sprockets are both in good nick, X ring gold chain and good quality sprockets.
Shocks are all in order, set up for someone around 110kg's.
Some background on these bikes:
This '92 was the first year honda released the fireblade, it was kinda an obscurity being a 900 inline four in a sharp handling frame. Short wheel base and rake angle gave this bike the afforementioned sharp handling. The CBR900 had a flat spot around 4000rpm, this has been worked out by the race pipe and carb tune, no more flat spots![]()
It will happily do 110km/h in first gear, Pootling along at 100 km/h in top gear isn't and issue at all, the bike sits at about 4500rpm in sixth at 110. Really light throttle, but that might just be cause im used to the Flatslides on my Gixxer hehe.
The gearbox is solid, usual honda dealie with the CLUNK! into first.
Front brake kicks ass, never need more than two fingersRear brake is OK, single piston calliper so it isn't the most powerfull thing ever, front more than makes up for it though
I would expect this engine to be putting out about 120 horses at the wheel.
Will include copy of workshop manual with the sale.
Cheers!
