My boots saved my legs today

this will be the most random product review you will ever read......... (maybe)

set out this morning for kayak training for work at 7am this morning in the work van but for some weird reason i put my boots on, not normal considering i was not riding.

did training all was well a little cold so decided to jump in the car with my fellow instructors (instead of the cold slow van) once again had my boots on, still odd!

then about 5mins from our destination for hot showers lunch and a beer we had a car accident, i was behind the driver and the crash sent me into her seat, my legs were smashed into the bar thingies on her seat at a good rate of speed.....

one guy ended up with a broken arm, after the cops showed up and all paper work etc was done the cop said i was very lucky to walk away with out broken legs thanks to the fact i was wearing motorcycle boots!

i love my FORMCA BOOTS goes to show some of your gear all the time is a good thing even when in a car! come tomorrow when the bruising starts to get more colour i will be thankful its only bruising compared to what might have been
I've learnt to hide the pain inside, open the throttle and ride away.

Makes you think about protection, doesn't it! Cheers.

One question - were you wearing your seatbelt?

A couple of friends of mine once wore helmets while driving a cage. They were stopped by the cops and told to take the helmets off!

yeah one would assume the helmets were considered a distraction

Wonder what rights he has for asking people to remove safety equipment.
