Thanks all. They are just a "get you home" thing for me that is easily carried on a motorcycle. As for being illegal?? Who cares? Next thing you know they'll make speeding illegal

And so they should be. But it also beats pushing your bike home or having a ride spoiled by a flat tyre. Like I said above They are a get you home fix. Tyres are cheap and would be replaced once punctured (or repaired if you can't afford to replace).
I have used these for this reason for many many many years and highly recommend them. Still you could always use slime and then maybe never know you have a foreign object in your tyre?
