Thinking about buying a Shineray XY200GYE Road/Trail?

Hey there, I'm thinking about getting a Shineray XY200GYE Road/Trail...

Basically wondering if anyone has some thoughts to this model? The only I'm hoping to get has only done a few hundred KM and I'm gonna try to get for $1,000 which imo is cheap as chips (really expensive ones). Anyone know what there like? And wot kinda horsepower they have? (I haven't been able to see anywhere). I will b using it only on the road, mainly for commuting to school and maybe on the motorway a bit (I read somewhere it can do 120kmph max? Dunno if it'll manage though)

So yeah, any comments/thoughts appreciated

They disintegrate in operation. I have a workmate who bought one new and was lucky to sell the bag of parts left over for $800 a mere 4 months later. The dealer refused to honour warranty claims and didn't return calls:

1. Leaking fuel tank
2. Broken upper triple clamp
3. Rear brake caliper retaining pin breaking repeatedly.
4. Rear brake caliper seizing.

I'm VERY anti-Chinese manufactured motorcycles. If it doesn't have a world famous brand name on it, a team of German engineers maintaining quality standards, and a head office in Europe then it is going to suck because the Chinese don't give a damn about product once they've received their money for it.

I bought the XY150 shineray trail bike for Jorja so I feel kinda qualified to answer.
Purchaced basicly at christmas and we have done about 10 hours total riding on it.
first --preventative work.
Research showed that this stuff was an issue
rplaced both tyre tubes with quality -the shinerey ones are as thin as condoms.
replace battery with something big enough to kick the bike over more than three times before dying.
replace plastic clutch lever perch and lever with aftermarket
Replace all fuel lines and fit fuel filter.
Replace telephone wire thick wiring with decent thickness stuff.
replace wheel bearings.

After FIRST ride --change totally buggered front fork oil and put different fork springs in (took a punt they were right)
Straighten bent gear lever -one touch and it bent like a pretzel.Sand front brake pads and lubricate all front brake moveing parts

10 hours from purchace -
Rear brake not working. (aparently common) chain buggered,rear shock spring only

I could go on but in my opinion the stuff out of chgina is just too inconsistant to buy with any confidence.
