At the end of the third lap, Bruce has done a lap time of18 minute57.62 seconds, average speed of 119.396 mph, yes that is miles per hour on a 600.
Lead of 21.4 seconds
Anstey wins the second supersport race.
Hope the bike is legal this time!![]()
7th TT win for Anstey
Hecter Neil, the team owner, said that this engine is within the rules. They made a mistake in the first race, but this time the engine is perfect.
Well done Mr Anstey! I was very interested to see if the bike would be any slower this time (second race). He got the lap record in the second lap and its virtually the same speed as he did in the first race on the second lap when he also got the (disqualified) lap record. 125.359mph vs 125.372mph.
You have to accept that the scrutineers did the right thing as its up to the teams to ensure that their machines are legal to the letter of the rules at this level of racing.
Another interesting point is that Ian Hutchinson was disqualified in a 2006 Supersport TT for cams that where only 0.2mm out of spec on his Kawasaki. From what I have read about Bruce Ansteys bike the exhaust cams had 0.75mm more lift.
Oh and in the race Hutchinson was disqualified from Anstey got promoted from 3rd to 2nd.
Blardey awsumm Brucey!!![]()
The Heart is the drum keeping time for everyone....
.75 mm is alot when it is opening that quickly!
