I CAN CONFIRM THAT BIKE IS A BIG MESS. I saw XJ/Frosty (did not know who he was at the time) at Paekak Hill lookout - he had pulled in to park beside a 4 wheel drive thing and was obscured from me so I did not realise that he had crashed it until after a while I decided to wander over to be sociable as you do and was shocked to discover a duct taped/bungy'd up bike, fairing in many bits and headlight strapped to rear seat!. Could not believe he was able to ride it afterwards and I was a bit worried when he took off and I could hear rubbing sounds. Anyway nice to meet XJ/Frosty but sorry your Wellington trip ended up being a bad experience for you.

Well that takes the biscuit! I had a feeling something bad was going to happen! Except I was sure it was going to be me! I just had this wierd feeling riding over to see you guys and thats one more reason I was not keen to go much farther, too damn fast for too long for me and my poor old Guzzi mate...

Damn! Shitty end to a great day!

Glad you are OK Frosty. Let us know what we can do to help.

At least it's only bent; warthogs have corkscrew-shaped ones....

Hope you're OK, Dude, although you're lucky the Viffergods didn't give you a big kick in the nads for bending that VFR.
At least when I crashed mine I didn't bend anything.
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

So the Goat Track of Death (© 2004 NC30_chick) claims another victim, eh?

Glad to hear you're in one piece, Tony. By the sound of it, at that spot, even at 60kph, it could have been much worse.

Hope the VFR gets sorted with a minimum of fuss.

    Take it easy dude.

Well, Jim can just piss off and wait. Those shunted shoulder plates might still prove fatal.

Oh, by the way, Tony, I was going to ask...

Just passed this one past Frosty. He says "no problems mate. 4 grand and its yours. He'll even throw in some extra Honda bits as well. Used, of course."

BTW any ideas what the council charges for a 150x150mm post and a guard rail if they can manage to extract Honda DNA off it?
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Not good, not good at all. But yep - as everyone's already said - at least you're ok eh. Good to meet you though Frosty! I take it you all had a good run up the hill and part of the way back then. The rest of the ride was great - I'd never done the second half of that water-tower road - beeeautiful!
