And you haven't noticed it yet, but under that little flap on the left-hand side, tucked beneath the fairing that was molded to sub-micron tolerances and screwed into place by a 55-year-old Japanese grandfather who hadn't slept for 63 hours, is the 'auto-wave-back' button...

Sorry to hear Tony man! But good to read you are still with us - i cant speak from experience but ive heard heaps of wise and experienced ones say this to others before: Go get that shoulder checked out! could be worse then you suspect (not that you suspect it isnt bad, because it certainly isnt good) and there could be something physio could do for you.

Second up when your ready to re-accept the beast that threw you and show it some love let us know if there are any bits you need that interchange with Viffer 400 gear, or what tools you maybe short of to complete any jobs.

Finally out of curiosity what was this VFR750 anyway? i heard nothing of it untill not so long ago and asking around still didnt get me to track a model down? RC24 was it?

Shit, that's bad news Frosty. Glad you're ok though.
Like other's have said, it's bloody typical that it happens when you're not pushing it.

It was (and still is) a relatively good condition RC36 (VFR750FL).

Nothing a new wheel, new fairings and new forks won't fix...

I guess the scary thing for me watching him go down (and I still have no idea how it happened) is that the bike slid and slid at an ever-increasing speed UP the hill until it hit the guard rail, went through that and wnded up with a tree wedged between the front wheel and the headers.

Lucky that tree was there though. It stopped the bike and the rider from going for a good long flight.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I've been worried all night about this! How could Tony bin the dread VFR and Stoney hole his radiator all in one ride?

Vicki got me thinking about it and regaled me with the tale of Hooks New Years Eve party and how they BOTH had to fend off the attentions of the neighbour! (I was outside and curiously no one flung themselves at me at all. Not even Elton John)

Could it be that she was mightily offended by this rejection and does in fact posses strange magical powers and has cursed you both? Could this still happen in the technology age you ask yourself?

While I was half asleep a string of curious conicidences unfolded to me (as if in a dream)!

Tony / Stoney (both names end in a Y)

The original incident happened in Palmy (ends in a Y)

It was nearly a tradgedy (Y)

The neighbour was horny (Y again)

It was a saturday (spookY eh)

The to bike incidents happened yesterday (2 x Y's in that one) and it was a Sunday (ends in Y)

I think you boys ought to make peace with this woman. Obviously the Y force is powerful in that one....

    Cool Frosty....

Frosty if you are reading this....which I am sure you are on a comp in Wellington somewhere....

Please get ya shoulder checked out..... cos when you get your hands on a borrowed wheel and start riding back to Auck's it will be a blardy long ride if ya shoulder starts to play up on ya.

Glad you are ok and that ya bike can be fixed.... Ride safe back home to Auckland...

If you really get stuck XJ...
You can take the NC30, and just leave it at my Dad's house in AUckland.
The world will look up and shout "Save Us!", and I'll whisper "no"
