Following on from McJim's branded gear poll

In the interests of useless Polls and after having hit the heady highs of 200 hundred posts I thought Id give one of my own a go....

Now... I was warned not to buy a jacket with a motorcycle brand name on it cos, well... what if you change. I of course thought "nah, Bullshit" and bought it anyway. (I was also warned a white leather jacket would turn grey'ish quite quickly too). Now the colour change part was proved right some time ago but more recently the first part has also occured and I ditched the Honda for a Suzuki.

A recent Poll by McJim showed that branded gear was indeed a pile of steaming wank. My question is, which is more wank

-Riding a Suzuki with a jacket which says Honda
    or
-Riding a Suzuki with a jacket (with the Repsol and Honda names removed) hich evrybody knows used to (or should) say Repsol and Honda

...FWIW, I actually like the "Hi-Vis" ness of the white jacket and the Oranges does match the GSX decals on the fairings (Does this help ?)

With it being an election year, I didnt want peoples usual tendencies to see them making a "wasted vote" here by including such propostrous options as that which youve suggested...

    Or something......

    What he said.

I have refrained from voting for the above reason. I wouldn't care a toss what anyone else thinks, if you like it, go for it

To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

If yer really worried about it--Get the honda removed and your nickname letttered in the honda's place. If you're worried about the colour thing--get Baby B to recolour the leathers to something not so blatently repsol.
Have a look at my leathers-theyre a baby B recolour --from red black/white/silver

Arriving at Unit/DeMouNTeD's place on a Ducati, unzipping your jacket and showing off your Honda (old Castrol Honda racing one) Polo shirt must surely win.

Id buy a new jacket and keep the old one for when the new one is drying or when you want to carry a pillion etc.

Relative to the price of a new bike a jacket is pretty cheap. If you replace your bike every few months Id just buy a non branded jacket otherwise it should work fine.

    Congrats on the new bike.
Fuck the Wank Factor (TM). If it keeps your skin attached to your body, who cares what it says?

Thanks Dude, Im actually quite amazed at all the sensible answers abounding in this thread, I actually created the Poll as A bit of a joke but (as the Gibb Brothers might say... "The Joke was on meeeeeee" sorry nevermind) Im just not as clever as I thought.

Oh well, it has been eductational to see that most Actually dont care about what other people do or dont do etc etc, and agree that its all about just getting out there and riding.
