Yep, I give on a regular basis.

Doesn't hurt anything like needing a transfusion would. Just a bit of discomfort for 2 seconds.

Then free choccie bikkies and orange "drink"

Yep.. my youngest son was prem & thanks to my local hospitals' major stuffups at his birth ended up in the neo-natal Intensive care unit in Wgtn in a coma & not expected to live.. while in Wgtn, amongst a heap of other care he needed.. he had a blood transfusion.. I don't know his blood type off hand.. but I am sure thankful to who ever gave him theirs..!

Last 6 times I've tried, they turned me down, due to various reasons, cold, broken limbs, AIDS... just the usual.

    I'll keep trying though.

I love watching the needle go in. it's the small jab in the finger that gives me the shits every time.

it's good for guys to give blood. gives a way to get rid of iron from the blood, we dont seem to bleed from as many sabre tooth mammoth wounds as we used to.....

I always TRY but they end up turning me away.

No matter how hard I try to eat iron-rich foods (beforehand), I always seem to be slightly anaemic when I get there, and they send me packing, with a letter to my doctor to feed me more iron tablets, ugh, hate those things.
