What a top bunch of bastards you all are!!
Bigto all those that made it happen, including the American trio in the office for providing such a great spot for us all. Will have to take the missus there for a weekend away.
Cheers to Dangerous and Rashika for taking some stuff down for me, would have been quite the mission to fit all that on the bike!
Thanks to Dave and Skyrider for the ride down, no mishaps except for one stupid cager who wanted to test us
No thanks to HOT for poisoning me with her red liquid of death, which is obviously the only reason for my ill health the next day...shame on you Helen
Anyway, like I said you're all a great bunch, few faces I knew and now a heap more to have awith.
Here's a few pics to add to the bunch
1. Dave sourcing dinner
2. Who's is the biggest?
3. So that's what happens to the virgins!
4. Hear ye, hear ye...let there be a Garston rally

2. Dave, "Back in MY day"...
3. She's gunna blow!!
The final chapter of the KB rally was closed yesturday in a mission to extracate the Ducati of Mr Sensibles from the Dansy's Camp.
The weather was shite from the moment of leaving home, right through to arriving home some 12hrs later.
What a mavalous place though it is down there. And looking accross the camp site one could re-live the happenings of the weekend prior.
From the arrival and Friday night table tennis, the fabulous discovery of some wonderful little roads on the Saturday, a grand nibble of some food at Moaraki, to the totaly brilliant time sitting around the fire pit till the early hours. The food cooked on the bbq was a great addition to the copious amounts of fluids consummed by many.
And if with the lack of sleep after getting to bed way to late in the morning, the ride home was good.
With all of that on top of a busy week of work, it took much of the week to feel like I had even semi recovered.
Back to the task at hand of getting this duck back in flight. Mr Sensible had found some perfect "Fag" bearings for the job on his back wheel... some special bearing grease helped those "faggy" things into place. The old worn bearing was infact well beyound worn... Mr Sensible was a little confused by my desire to capture the moment on film... but of course it was me, and that is what I do... "Capture".
Mr S braved the cold and wet weather that was not much more than around 7degrees and as low as 4. We swapped tasks of riding at Ashburton, as the old man looked as though he was going to shrink into oblivion with shivering.
And I was rather suprised with my first ride of such a machine, very similer but very different to the Griso. It was rather easy to ride...felt slow when going fast, turned easy but a pain on the wrists in town and with out getting into to much more detail I would rate it as a 7 out of 10. The griso of course being a conservative 12 out of 10.
The pics below are self explaining...
Then if not
1.The Raikia River full of water
2.The wheel before the bearing was removed
3.The bearing is well and truley fagg'd
4.Not much left of the sphere
5.Fag
6.Knocking new ones back in.

A three day shower is considered "brief" in Pukekura... nice little bar there. Did you order anything off the grill ??? bit of "house grilled" roadkill maybe...

It was a great weekend for me. Pissed in a paddock again. Good to put faces to names. I have a bad habit of forgetting peoples names so I blame it on Caruba or Craft. Hope to see some of you at Woodstock.
Have a great Xmas and a even better New Year.![]()
