Just need to clarify a point, does washing powder go inside the central tube, or do you just pour it over the clothes?

on the clothes middle thing is for fabric softner. well it is in my washing machine. good luck with your wash

depends on the machine, ours is down the middle hole but not all machines are.

Have you got a manual for your machine?? if not.. check out with your local appliance shop as to the instructions for your make/model of machine.. as they are different, for different machines.

Mine is, take the middle bit out & pour powder down the centre.. then the fabric softener goes in the top of the middle thingee..
