I look forward to when the NZ dollar falls...
There will be far less cages on the road.

I actually feel that there are already less cages. Previously jams on spagetti junction around 10-11 were norm, now i just fly through

    So fill up
Hrmm, 10c means it will cost me an extra $1.70 to fill the Hyo from empty

Sadly, where I'm really feeling the price hike is in Avgas/Jetfuel... the airlines have stopped hiring at the moment due to increase costs and I'm between jobs

    Cool

I just came back from the states (two days ago) and they were whining at $3.69-$4.00 (depending where you are) per GALLON!!! (thats roughly $4 for 4.6 litres).......and they drive like it was 0.60c a Gallon.... you know the floor it 20 M to the next light then lock it up type shit.....I can't quite figure how we pay $9.20 a gallon.......and are still taxed on it twice.

    American gallon is 3.8litres

But i already expected this to happen after the $9 jump over weekend, so i fulled up the cage yesterday, that will keep us going for 3-4 weeks.

US$ a gallon at the current pump price and exchange rate works out to about NZ$1.40 a litre.

I just double checked that because I didn't believe you, but yes that's right- you learn something every day! I had no idea that a U.S gallon was different how stupid!
