so that's yet another bike sold. (ehab stop grinning... i don't care if u though the gpx was ugly. who said your gsx was pretty?). so apparently the gpx was sold today. gutted, as this is now the second time the contacts haven't even gotten a chance to see the bike.

heh, if it's meant to be it's meant to be... feels pretty lame really. in any case, am gonna give trademe a break for a bit. focus on the papers, and the such. but i'll check up kb every nyt, so drop a shout if anything worth a look at, within the 3500 region pops up. otherwise, the hols will be full of BIKE HUNTING!!!!

    hey yui,

u keen to go to a few places this sunday, and look at gear and i'll maybe shoot over to a few dealers to see if they have any bikes hidden out of sight up for grabs, after. anyone know if motomail and red baron are open on sundays? will try to get hands on the car, and so mayb drive to a few places. what u say kyle? mayb cyclespot or botany honda (or where was it there was cheap gear that does the job again)?? shall we set sunday as a prospective day? - if u're willing to sacrifice a day's worth of compsci111 study (excuse=recovery from 201 and 205).

also, am thinking, if i can scrounge around into more student debt, does this look like a good deal? have already gotten in touch with trader and a few guys down in nelson. will get it checked out, and have asked if he'd cover shipping costs up to auck if i pay 4000 - that's 500 out of budget, but i'll scrounge like hell if need be! haha.

yeah, that vtr looks pretty tidy.

Not many going for that price either, specially if the transplate motor does have only 9,000ks on it.

Hey was talking to Kim just now and he thought it might be a good idea to contact Quasimoto.

His in KB and he got shop down in Hamilton but can come up to Auckland if you talk to him about it.

He have nice gears on good prices.

    Is he Quasievil in KB??

    gloves

Just give them a PM and tell them your budget and give them a chance to see what they can do for you. I just bought the gloves and that's a steal at that price. We all know that Quasimoto gear are good quality stuff....I am pretty sure they will have new old stock that they will wanna get rid at good pricing.

    Some more bikes to consider:

Honda Spada: The older version of the vtr posted above, but with more power and a 6-speed gearbox.

This one is owned by kb member hXc, could talk to him about it if you're interested.

    GB250:

    (BANZAI will like this one)
Would be interesting to see what a set of GB250 bars would be like on my vtr. They look like they'd be similar to a set of high-rise clip-ons, something i may end up looking into.

think that a friend of ehab's owns the bandit... will see how it goes. am considering it too.... haha, but this spada's looking pretty cool. even the one by an fellow kb member. question. u think he'll drop the price a bit? it's done a lot of k's. but ya, that was a nice bike...

will check with quasimodo. they don't have gloves in my size!! and they looked so cool too. haha. will need to get a numerical measurement for the pants and jacket tho. think i was a medium... what's that for size (uk)?

so the reason the engine was replaced is becoz the initial one had a "fault in casting of front piston and dropped the top of it" - couldn't follow that completely. gathered that engine packed up becoz of engine manufacturing flaw, in one one of the pistons. - haha, ya, i know, wow, so smart and so wrong. be nice, i'm a noob!

am getting it checked out by another kb man down there. asked the owner a few questions. he answered some, then just ignored the rest (is the 9000 the amount he's added to the new engine, or that the final reading? and when did he put it in). may have scared him off. haha. oops.

back to there spadas!!! they're awesome! and the gb... man, so much u can do with it!! it looks soo cool!!! it's like bike heaven, when u don't know which one to pick! the first spada looked good - price and k's wise. the 3rd one (fellow kb owned) though high on k's, which would mean harder to sell after some time, is also looking really good.

question, is napier a further ride away than new plymouth? but either way, owner would have taken good care of it, right. it would be safe to buy straight if i wanted. shingo, i wouldn't mind the spada he owns. it'd be awesome if u could talk to him for me! think u can get the price down a bit more tho? about 3000? (that way the 250 would be for fuel costs, which is still a saver... and we get to ROAD TRIP!!!) haha.

plus, it's much lower down and in the budget!!!

hey also, i finally managed to convince my dad that it's a good thing to get a bike. such a strange discussion, becoz for once he was basing his side all on random "i'm right becoz i say so" facts. haha, he said bikes are too dangerous, expensive, impractical (becoz of rain), and a waste of money that could be put to better use.... haha god i love the fact that everything he mentioned was completely off. (dangerous, to an extent, but still, it can be negligable in most cases if u're sharp.. right?). so he agreed, that it may be ok for a bike. i'm not expecting any funding tho - will try the safety card again tho... but the ok makes it easier!

    its been a good day!
