What a fabulous way it would be to learn my way around HAMPTON DOWNS. I s'pose it could be fun at Pukie, but I've never ridden there. It's a long way to go from little old Porirua but if it was a festive and fun occasion, I would give it serious consideration.

ummm, Drew, I think that you'll find that experience (and age) does count in racing mate. All these young whipper snappers trying to knock the oldies off the top spots just doesn't work.

If Stroud wasn't there setting things alight, would you get as many spectators?? If Craig didn't do Wangy this year, would there be annoyed spectators?? Think about what you're saying Drew, the so called oldies and hasbeens are still setting the benchmarks for the new talent that is gradually rising through.
If all the newbies spent as much time honing their racecraft and forgot about trying to impress everyone with how nice their steed is, as they do in spending hours typing crap on websites, then maybe, just maybe, some spring chickens might just knock off some of us old farts!!!
But I doubt it............
