Speaking to "people in the know", they envisage that the focus will be on FUN, and turning the round into a team event rather than any expectations of televised "Endurance" racing.

FFS, There are some race results posted on this site from around 1980 where Robbie Dean did a Castrol 6 hour solo.

I seem to remember that Ginger Molly WON the first Castrol 6 hour rding solo

Actually - that was my first ever Endurance race, & get this Glenn Williams finished first in the production 600 class on a GPZ600R & Glen Williams finished 2nd in the production 600 class on a GPZ600R..........(confused a few at the time that one) :-)
