roflmao, that is total shit. The fzr's are no where near as reliable as the cbr's. Go on the cbr250 forums and you will see how many have ever blowen up. You could count them on 1 hand. Having gear drive cams definately makes alot of sense on a bike that revs to 19000rpm.

Hope you sort out that problem magua, don't think I can be of any help though.

Frankie, Magua posted here asking for help with his bike.

If you have any personal grievances with him, this is not the place to be voicing them.

YOU COULD DROP THE OIL AND FILTER SEE IF ANYTHING COMES OUT WITH THE OIL IF NOTHING DOES JUST TRY A NEW FILTER AND OIL I HAD A BIKE THAT ALWAYS GOT ROWDY WITH OLD OIL IN IT.THIS IS THE ONLY ADVICE I CAN OFFER WITHOUT LOOKING AT IT.

Yip winja has a point (all be it in capitals). A lot of bikes (well most that i have had) get "noisey" with old oil and filters. Cause it's not lubricating correctly. Do that first and see how she sounds
Lump lingered last in line for brains,
And the ones she got were sort of rotten and insane...

The ONLY GOOD THING about FZR was the 400 which was a great bike in it's day. My Fizzer uses more oil than General Motors. I had the motor done up in the winter by a motorcycle mechanic who races an FZR 400. Didn't use much oil for a while. Now the thirsty bitch drinks it like petrol! The suspension is shyte as is Maguas from what I understand.

It is Yamahahahaha. Ya get what ya pay for. Man I shoulda bought a HOnda

Hmmm. My Zeal, with the same engine (but probably a different carburetion and breathing setup) gets 18km per litre. Still utterly awful for a two fiddy, of course, but there is probably a little extra efficiency to be gotten out of your bike with some tuning and TLC.

    Harumph.

Nothing wrong with FZR's, or any other of the smaller bikes, come to think of it. It's just that most 250's get thrashed by inexperienced riders.

My FZR750R has proven to be more or less bulletproof.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

I have like 3 different flat spots in the rev range, and no idea why! Can't even remove the F&^#@ing carbs to have them checked becuase I won't be able to put them on. The seals are shot.
