If there was some shit in the tank and you ran it completely dry then possibly no fuel is coming through from the tap. Is there fuel running from the tap?

The wheel, perchance, didn't lock with a screech of metal on metal?

    Update!

At least 500ml of WATER in the fuel tank... fuel is running from tap etc
i was running on reserve at the time and it must have been sucking water in.
Any ideas on what happens now?
No idea where the water came from? Shitty Caltex Fuel?
Through the top of tank in heavy rain?

Any help is a really great help!

    breather maybe?

Drain your carbs buddy :-) on the bottom of the carbs there will be a bolt/screw, pull it out to drain the float bowls. Drain the tank. Put in fresh fuel and robert's your aunties husband

Make sure they're not opening too far...the slides shouldn't dissappear up through the bodies, but should end flush iirc.
