    WANTED: FXR150 Parts

After some twunt decided that checking mirrors/blind spot and indicating wasn't really too important, I'm off in search of elusive fxr parts.

After seeing them all over the show, either riding or wrecked on TM, I thought there would be parts galore (wreckers tell me otherwise). Guess them bucket racers snapped them all up, sneaky like baby pigeons those fellas.

So if anyone has a R/H foot peg bracket, or front brake lever/cylinder assembly lying around, please please please either reply/pm me/ shoot a txt 021-180-3971

    Thanks in advance

Hey PM EMB... He got hit just the other week and I think the FXR was a write off. Not too sure if he's selling it as parts or what though. Worth a try

Saw a post by EMB yesterday in the mechanics section, here it is http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ad.php?t=75447

Looks like he is loking for parts as well.

For the record Qkkid was in my bed, not the other way round

Lol looks like you're both gonna have to sought out a good wreckers perhaps? Try atomic bike wreckers over the bridge. There are quite a few on Barrys Point Rd.

Not much on trademe at all.

FXR parts seem to be as pretty rear. Well particulary front end items like forks and wheels.

It seems any body that destroys a FXR does it by going over the front of a car.

Only damage from the impact my bike took was a cracked fender, whereas it destroyed his front quarter panel... It was the bike falling over after I did a superman dive that caused the real damage.

Every wrecker I've been to/emailed/phoned can't seem to help, except for referring me in circles to other wreckers. Really sucks to have your daily off the road and not even have a "what I learned from my bin" story...

If I use the front brake setup off a different bike (as long as it will fit on my handlebars) will it overly effect braking ability/control? I don't mind tinkering with everything else but front brakes are a bit outside my comfort zone safety-wise.

Not as long as you make sure the master cylinder diameters are the same, it is normally cast into the body
"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough power."
