Piaggio chairman Roberto Colaninno has denied rumours that holding company IMMSI SpA plans to sell the motorcycle and scooter manufacturer.

Weekly newspaper Milano Finanza said Colaninno could be tempted to reach an alliance with a foreign motorbike group or sell the company.

IMMSI holds a 56% share in Piaggio.
