Got one over on the HP...

This may get moved to PD, but...

On the way into Albany this morning, passed a camera van just before the Oteha Valley off-ramp, neatly tucked in behind the bushes and unnoticeable until I was right on him, (metaphorically speaking).

I thought to myself, "How sneaky!"

But I had the last laugh, the joke was on him, because...

I WASN"T SPEEDING!!! And I hadn't been speeding all the way in!!!!

    Bwahahahaha!!!!!

    What a fiendishly cunning plan.

As cunning as a weasel with a plan.

Funnily enough, I do get the same odd satisfaction on a regular basis, as I pretty much never speed in suburbia.

The hilarious part is that if hubby is in the vehicle with me, I'll see him glancing nervously at the speedo, to which I automatically feel obligated to reassure him that I am indeed under the speed limit. Ye of little faith...

Aww its much more fun to overtake the line of cages doing 40kmph past it and make the camera take a nice photo of some cages....

For some reason when going on long trips in the car, I have a tendency to speed up the further we get from home. I think it's part boredom, part just wanting to get to the destination.

So when the missus starts to check the speedo, I know it's time to dial up 110kph on the cruise control, sit back and relax.

Shit, is that why I haven't been getting tickets?!

(j/k, my riding is hardly legal and it's just dumb luck I haven't got a ticket for the last 3 years)

All the money I save in fines by not speeding never ends up in the bank or my wallet, so if I speed I must break even ?
