Where to start looking for mid-80s parts?

I need a new front brake disk for my next WOF in a few months, as it's getting a little worn.
I was quoted $389 for a new front brake disc for my 1986 Kawasaki KLR250.
$389!! For a bit of steel cut into a circle!
The bike only cost $800 !!

So where do I start looking for old bits?
Buckets n Bits in Wellington... does Bryce still exist up there?
Some Australian place, Victorian Wreckers or something like that?

    Any advice? Thanks!

Or yeah I think bike wreckers should have them surely... Just ring around and they'll say yay or nay straight away. There are heaps of wreckers all over NZ, good luck!

Oh yip, that's pretty simple then. I guess I just work my way through the yellow pages.
I don't quite know why I didn't think of that for myself. Must be something to do with the beer...

yes steam, brake discs are expensive.

you can try the wreckers, but it might be warped / worn.

I'd recondmend getting one made up. There is a guy in waihi i think that dose them (fgb?) but hes a bit hit and miss interms of quailty (from what ive heard) he did some discs for me - nothing amazing tho. cost me $250/disc i think
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
