Glasses and helmets...

hey guys new to biking and what not..

here is my problem

I just got a HJC cs-12 helmet fits real good an i wear my glasses at the same time.. only thing is when I am stationary my helmet fogs up like there is no tomorrow.. hang on my GLASSES fog up lol not the helmet

Does anyone share the same problem?

can anyone help me lol?

I feel your pain. Although the fogging isn't as bad in my HJC as it is in my Shoei. I think this is a function of the HJC having a bigger shell (more space in the front) and fog-resistant coating on the inside of its visor. On really cold mornings though, it's hard to stop my glasses fogging when stopped.

What sort of heavy breathing are you chaps doing on your bikes and in your skidlids and why???
I only ever had problems if it was really cold or I was working hard thrashing the cbr. If the visor was down and I was hardly moving thats when the visor would fog up but never my glasses. Best thing to do is get a lid thats comfy to wear and holds your glasses sung. But the most important is get a lid with great working vents and allways keep them open. I had a 06 Shoei XR1000 and it was the best and probably the most lightweight Ive ever had. Hardly ever flogged and if it did, just down by my nose. Also had a cheap shitty HJC and that was OK, but not as good.
The above post is correct too. I allways lick my lenses and clean with my t-shirt and Ive been given other products, but they was no better.

The best thing I've found so far is to rub a small amount of dish washing liquid onto the lenses of my glasses and buff off. Lasts a few days, and easy (and cheap) enough.

Make sure you have the lemon scented stuff though.

HJC have an accessory thingie called a Breath Box, which worked good for me. It totally seals the face part from any breath from your nose or mouth.

Have found that to be the best solution to the heavy fog/morning missed problem, and always use contacts on the Rusty Nuts GC for that reason. Bets the misting up of the outside of ya visor too. Just pop the visor up and let the contacts take the mist. Have past other riders in the mist that way

With my glasses I use the same Rainex Anti-fog (ya can get from ya Service Station when ya fuel) on them as I use on the inside of my visor.

I used to wear glasses inside my CS-12 HJC (and Shoei I think)... until I went back to wearing contacts. Why the hell i didn't do that 6 months earlier I don't know.

Not a solution of course, if you can't wear contacts

I can't wear my glasses inside my helmet for several reasons, but thankfully, I have contact lenses....

I have the same problem in my Shoei. I'd be interested to know how to stop the glasses from fogging up. I can wear contact also but sometimes my eyes are too sore to wear them.

These things are designed for people who don't wear glasses. Anything that has to fit around one's nose competes for fitment space with spectacles.

I got a progrip no fog inner for my visor of my hjc cl14 and that helps somewhat. When its super cold and foggy I get a bit of fog on the outside of my visor but it clears quick.

get one of those neck warmers that goes over ya nose
that will help the fogging a bit

Never had a problem with the HJC (carbon shell) but the new Shoei XR1000 fogs untill it warms up. So I ride with visor up a click until I hit the open road.
