A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

What would be the 'right' way to go about getting the answer/s you want without risking the ire of whoever wants to label you a whinger?

People are encouraged to voice their opinions (hence KB) and it seems then they feel they have the right to shit on other peoples opinions or questions with a holier than thou attitude. Is it just NZ (the great tall poppy syndrome) or is it standard these days?

Incidentally, no, this is not a whinge - just a couple of questions...
If you're a POM, there's not a hope in hell that you can raise an issue and not have it blamed on the whinge gene!

IMHO, I don't give a rat's backside if someone thinks I'm a whinger - if there's something wrong about something, I'll flippin well raise it! I'm on a consumer-crusade at the moment - I clearly should get back to work so I've got something else to occupy my time...LOL

(can see me in 40 years being one of those old gits who writes letters to the editor about all the things wrong with the world )

Seriously though, if the issue is big enough to cause you to feel you should discuss it, does it matter if you get labelled?

And yes, there is a very noticeable 'ssshhhh, don't cause a fuss' mentality over here - so when you do go and make a few waves, everyone rolls their eyes and says how dreadful it is that you didn't just go with the flow.

It's the interweb mate. Anonymity means you don't have to back up your opinion, ie the one who argues the longest and hardest wins cos nobody gives a fuck after a while.
Zen wisdom: No matter what happens, somebody will find a way to take it too seriously. - obviously had KB in mind when he came up with that gem
