RZ350 suspension upgade options.

OK, thanks for the offer. I have a RZ350 framed bucket with standard RZ suspension, what would be the options to upgrade the suspension. Can anything be done with the rear shock, or is there a suitable S/H upgrade worth pursuing? Is there much that can be done with the front forks too, or better off trying to source an alternative. Anyone else with some opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

My advice is to look into emulators for the forks. Robert Taylor fitted and setup some for my CB125T forks on the AX and they're great. Transformed the bike and I can adjust the suspension. Cheapest option I had too. I think Speedpro did the same with his FZR/MB100 bucket.

(And a nice fully adjustable rear shock with a yellow spring for the rear)

Emulators are indeed a very good bang for buck solution for the front end but I stress that with that bike the emulators may require different poppett springs and preload on those springs. We also modify the damper rods in a very specific way that varies to Race Tech, so that you do not end up with a dead zone of high speed rebound damping. The improvement straight off is very real, with further gains that can be realised if you are prepared to fiddle a little.
With respect to the rear we can either fit a Race Tech internal piston and for best results we can dyno the damping character and optimise further as required. Or as the ultimate solution we can custom build an Ohlins shock using the archival spec card as these are no longer in production for that model. In fact we built one of these very recently, the spec is not a stupidly expensive one but we would suggest for your application either adding a height adjuster or that the shock is built with a little extra length and stroke.

My other option is to try and slot the FXR motor into a 1986 RG250 frame that I happen to have lying around.
