Now that would go a treat with my spare Z1300 engine in it, especially if I put the turbo on it too[/QUOTE]

Put a V8 in it and Dodgie could drive it thru Henderson with pride....

my mom had one such Bambina for many years when i was a kid (bought new in '68)

i actually liked it a lot - it was a "special" edition and in red colour

and as far as i know that very car is still in use today

its thru the Vintage Car Club, but its for 30 year old plus bikes.
PM Maxheadroom, he has a non club one that might suit you better.

I had a '61 Bamby with suicide doors, they are cool cars. have you seen the new 'reto' one by Fiat, also quite cool, bit of a step up for Guzzi owners though.

    Hey Caseye,

I trust you had a good holiday. I sure did.... got myself another 35 demerit points to add to the 50 I got in November. The buggers took my licence for the previous 105 points that I already had. Not sure if the new 85 get taken off or not

I doubt I'll be catching up for a ride in the immediate future

    Question BFTP rides

    yup, happy new year, folks!

on my side... bruno is still without the brakes and i have been ill lately, so effectively we've both been "off the road" since mid december last year

so, sadly, i'm not able to plan any rides for the time being
i'm very sorry about this as i was looking forward to some longer tours this summer...

however, if any of you fellas feel like initiating a group ride and keeping BFTP alive, that'd be totally cool, and appreciated
you can post the details in this thread - and i can send you the mailing list if you want, or any other info you may need

hopefully, it's not too long before bruno and i can catch up with you guys again. we've had a great time last year!

    take care

    .
    Bruno

Sorry to hear that psyguy, I hope that all comes together and that you and Bruno arrive safe and sound on a BFTP run soon.I don't think there's any chance of the run dying mate.
I've been out today riding in the glorious sunshine thinking how where I've just been would be a great mid K's ride for an afternoon, finishing at a nice watering-hole somewhere.
Don't sweat it mate, there's enough of us out there to make sure the rides continue and grow, so get well soon and we'll see you when you get back.

So all you older riders another BFTP run in say 3 weeks time, unless someone has a route they'd like to travel sooner.
    Full details posted here perhaps.

    Hi Guys,

I would be keen in few weeks..the GS running OK now - was plug fouling due to dodgy coils it seems plus airbox leaks and posiibly carb o rings, all replaced. Cheers Tai

Good news. Do you still want to have a look at that Cyclone Blade for your instrument cluster?

I must confess that I missed this thread. Lately I've been going straight to the KB Classic Motorcycles forum and bypassing all the trivia, drama and drivel on the "new posts" listings...

Psyguy, take time to recover and get well. And fix your bike, dammit.

    Crocodile46, STOP GETTING TICKETS!!!!

Caseye, where are we going next?

Are many of you guys planning to head to Pukekohe next weekend?

    Croc,

Sorry delayed reply i dont log on often...

I decided to get a GS1000S fairing and make a pseudo Wes Cooley replica - being made locally in Hamilton. Thanks anyway.

Max - i have as usual booked with the wife to go down on Saturday and probably Sunday but unsure of what time etc at this stage, so will keep an eye out... also "booked" for BOTS Paeroa and the TOMCC coast to coast from Raglan to Waihi in March (i think its on again this year).

    Rgds

Bloody Bmer riders aye, pushy, pushy, LOL hey, mate, well I sorta have a route planned and was thinking maybe the 22nd of Feb for doing it.
Anyone interested pelade post here , I'll get in touch with psy and make sure we have everyones pm addys and get things orgasnised from there.
K Status you going to make it/
Croc, well I'd ask but then you might come and you'd most likely get in the trouble again, so I won't ask! but let me know.
The rest of you and you know who you are, (check to make sure) lets get our BFTP Rides moving along again, I'd suggest that we each take a turn at planning a route and leading the way.

    Come on home fellas.and ladies.
Dodgyiti how are you doing mate, feeling better I hope and we are all looking forward to seeing you and that good old Guzi back in shape.

Well the 22 nd is out for me, but if we can get together for march the 1st 2009 that';d be great.
There are two options, One we go our own way and do a route I've ridden once lately around the Clevedon area.
Or we could go down to Cambridge and join in with the Ulysisy's annual Cambridge to Hamilton toy Run. This of course would require us all to have a toy to bring and give and a bit of adventure to ride to Cambridge and back on our old, old, OLD machines.
So what say you old bike riders, lets be having your recommendations and numbers expected comments.
