Hi everyone, I check the posts on here reguler. Perhaps one day will get up North to ride with you. Been for afew rides with Fridayflash but of late have had odd problem with bikes few weeks son took a bike for a ride thru number three rod thru bottom two cases. last week was going to ride down to Waipawa to get ticket for Cold Duck Rally, twenty minutes down the road odd sound from motor now at idle can hear something pinging around in top end. so this week been some long hours putting project together abit early than planned. Eureka went for a blast today!

    Red face Bruno playing up

well, as you might have read above... after lotsa work to "do up" the brakes they leaked at the calipers.

so, i ordered oem pistons and seals and put them in and heureka no more leaks (not for now anyway).

however, when test riding last friday (with the intention of joining the ride on sunday) i discovered that now the master cylinder leaks, seriously... wtf?
the m/c was all right while the calipers leaked (must have been "the path of least resistance" kinda thing).

anyhow, i'll take the cylinder apart (again!), remove the aftermarket piston/seals i though was an upgrade and go back to 30y/o original parts - hopefully that'll do the trick.

interestingly though, the brakes are quite good even with the leak at the master cylinder

Hey there wickle. nice to hear from you and anytime you want to ride that beautiful machine with us just come on UP! brother. That is one nice bike.
Psy we missed having you out front mate, as we missed almost all the other BFTP riders except me,Voltaire and the jmk's from Hamiltonia, hey Karen and Craig thanks for coming and helping with making the numbers almost respectable for such a grand day! Murray , there ya go, we had 4 in actuality and some in spirit.psy and Croc and ol wickle from Napier(was down your way 2 weeks ago and on the old girl, now I know I'll drop ya a hoi if I'm coming that way again)
Croc mate, WHAT A RIDE most beautiful day for riding I've seen or had the pleasure of riding in for years.
Sorry bout the brakes and the Rellies (pesky critters them rellies) but next time aye.
Come on everyone I know you are still out there, another ride in approx 4 weeks.
Perhaps venturing a bit further south through the unknown world of the Hauraki swamps, Max Headroom! I'll be relying on you as chief guide! ya up for it?
We rode from the Ak Botanical gardens to Ardmore airfield, a quick reccee on the strip, nothing doing here, then on to the Patumohoe Village Bar and kitchen, via Runciman and Paerata, then after stopping for a coffee there we continued on to Waiuku detouring through town and then over the hill(Pukekohe Mountain) to the race track.Nupe nothing going on here, there was actually, looked like a classic meet, cars and I believe bikes.
Onwards we went to Tuakau and the old bridge then on up to Onewhero and finally over to the Muddy at Mercer, a nice cold beer with lunch and a rendezvous with the Waikato Laxed Out Riders , we got introduced to many of their guys and girls and generally had a great time shooting the breeze about the weather, bikes and of course bikes, did I mention the bikes?
Me and Voltaire then jumped back on our ever trusty and reliable steeds and headed off to Pokeno and then to the hotel Du vine road and up to Bombay and across to Hunua through the gorge(great twisties )for our old café racer type machines to get right into.
Up and over the rise to Ardmore and then to home for a coffee on the deck, had a blast, thanks Voltaire for a great days riding and the excellent company.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
