    Huh!

Whatchu talking about 'Baz and bros excluded'... Why? I thought they raced GSX's.

I am keen on doing the CSBS to learn how to ride better, safer, faster. Not so sure that I actually want to enter races... particularly if the baskets won't let Baz play.

    Hang on.

    NEW RULES POST CLASSICS 2008
    (C) Pre 89 which will consist of racing machines manufactured after the closing date of the period
    1982 class and before December 31st 1989.

    (e) Pre 82 specifically excludes the following: Honda VF750F interceptor, Yamaha RZ (all models) Suzuki GSX 1135, GSXR all models GPZ 900 all models Yamaha FJ 1100. Ducati F1 all models Suzuki RG 250, 400, 500 Gamma road bikes....

Baz is an 84 anyway so he should be allowed in the pre 89 class... shouldn't he?? Gad is an 85 GS1100G 8 valve jobby.. I'm guessing that he's also banned from the pre 82 based on year of manufacture.

    Thanks for the info Jase,

Do they bundle the pre-89 with the pre-82? Or do they get their own seperate races?

croc- how are you going to get the purchase of race stands, trailer/van, tire warmers and a 1 piece suit, tires, MCNZ Licence, back protector etc etc past SWMBO?
    (Just curious)

believe it or not, she is supportive of me having a play on the track. Perhaps she's working on the assumption that if I play on the track I won't on the road?

Hey Wickle. I just did your avatar to the boys computer... piece of sh#t. I have being constantly plagued by problems with their computers. Friggin thing has had all its components replaced twice now over the last year and a half to keep it going, but now won't recognise its hard drive. F#cker has a massive dent in the top now and is going to hit the bin. I'm sick of their computer. I dunno what it is they do to it, but I'm forever having to fix software and hardware faults.

The pisser is that they HAVE TO HAVE ONE FOR THEIR SCHOOL WORK. What's wrong with good old fashioned pens and paper. they way we are going, they will stop teaching hand writing altogether.

Or you could buy an 80's GSX for $1000 and just change the oil

I gots the bug too, my Mk2 is already hotted up and I would have taken that if I had got a new front tire for it in time and scrubbed it in.
    There are spaces left for the 22nd or 21st Nov $199 special rate;

Pre 89 and 82 together at the moment (The TRRS on 27/28 dec has them separate, That why I am taking LC and TZR)

If there are the numbers for pre82 I am pushing for separate classes(for PMCC rounds). I built my LC out of all my scruffy parts. There must be enough pre 82 GPZ550's ,XJ550's ,GS550's(yes I,m talking to you wickle ) and parts to get more bikes on the track. Junior is the cheaper option to race in, The senior bikes carbs are worth more than my whole bike lol
My bike is stock apart from jetting, getting the mesh out of the pipes and smaller baffles and getting rid of all the road gear(30kg lighter) A pair of Pirelli Sport Demon's and some homemade preload adjusters and 10cc more fork oil.I have clipons and rearsets now (got sick of trashing toe sliders) and cut 40mm out of my seat foam, still mucking around with the seat and will upholster it when its right
2nd hand (mint condition with good armour)leathers cost $400

You dont need tyre warmers lol , thats what the sun is for mate, you just got to move the bike around between races

Just got back from taking the gs1000 for a test ride(80km) so cool, couple minor things to do new shocks for a start, save up for some new tyres good tread on the current ones but real hard riding..oh and finish putting bits back on.
