Oh dear! The other end of the spectrum. BMW sound pretty full of themselves don't they

American Friends who? Henry Ford? The same people who stole all our scientists? Are they being scarcastic?
Hang on, they are German so possibly not.

There must be some pretty funny Japanese into English manuals out there?

Can't speak for Guzzi, but BMW road-bike engines were OHV up until 1993 when the oilhead "semi-overhead cam" design hit the market. There were BMW OHC engines used for racing back in the '50s & '60s. When fitted in the BMW racing sidecars of the '60s they were formidable, winning the majority of World Championships in that decade.

The OHC design in the '60s was just too expensive to consider for mass-production. The OHV road-bikes were already way too expensive for most folk, and bike production had slowed to a trickle by 1968 . . . .

Those are my plans too. I will be staying with my brother, so no BFTP accommodation required. Thanks for the offers made earlier though guys.

Wickle, I'll see you Sunday for that ride and to confirm plans for our group.
I'm chasing an annoying ignition fault on the 850 at present. Rang the Boyer Brandsden rep in the UK last night. I was given some checks to do on the HT system. That's my priority today.

Is Friday flash coming and what about our friend Onefast? And wasn't there a 'George' or sumit?

Just to remind you, both Caseye and I have garage space (bedding of sorts available for a few in mine) I dare say Caseye has a bale of pink batts or two that will make fine beds Ivor also has a nice soft bed with fluffy pink trimming for the more discerning biker.
